Holi is a beautiful festival which gives a great feel of fulfillment and happiness to one’s heart. Skin absorbs these chemicals and results in accumulation of toxics.

Tips are as follows which could save you from after-effects of Holi

The next day after Holi. Mix a cup of curd along with 2 tablespoons of honey and add a pinch of turmeric. This could be applied on the face, neck and arms. Leaving it to dry for around 20 minutes and then wash it off with water.

One must give a hair nourishment treatment right after the day of Holi. This could be done by mixing a tablespoon of pure coconut along with a teaspoon of castor oil and apply it on the hair. Then dip the towel in hot water by squeezing it wrap it hot around the head like a turban and keep it for few minutes. Repeat the hot towel wrap for around 3 to 4 times which absorbs the oil off the head.

One of the most problematic issue is the removal of colour from the skin. This could be done by rinsing the face with plenty of water then applying a cleansing cream. Wipe it with moist cotton wool and clean the area around the eyes too. This is how it works, cleansing gel helps dissolving the colours and facilitates their removal.

To remove tan and to soften the hand, mix 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and 3 tablespoons of sugar. Apply this paste to the hand and wash after 15 minutes.

When it comes to hair, first rinse it with plenty of water to wash away the dry colours which may also contain the small particles of mica. Followed by applying mild herbal shampoo. Massage the scalp gently and rinse thoroughly.
