The JEE Advanced entrance examination was held on 22nd May. This examination is held to admit the students in IIT on all India basis. 1, 50,000 candidates who cleared the JEE Main examinations were permitted to write the JEE Advanced Examination. In this 4,000 candidates were from Tamil Nadu.
At this juncture, the JEE Advanced entrance examination results were published on the internet yesterday. Out of 1, 50,000 candidates only 36,566 candidates have passed this examination. Out of 4000 candidates from Tamil Nadu only 650 candidates have passed. Rahul from Velacherry, Chennai is the topper in Tamil Nadu. He has scored the 73rd rank in All India level.
There are 23 IITs including Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur and Rourkee. There are 10,575 seats in these institutes. Candidates will be admitted based on the merit ranking.
